We're as stunned as you. Scoring those trash touchdowns in the second half to narrow the deficit clearly bullshitted enough people.

This might be a touch early, but Meaningless Midseason CFP Rankings Eve might be as good a time as any:

In years past I have done one thread for all the bowl games, then broken out the championship as a separate once the finalists are set. Would people prefer to keep it that way or to have two different threads; one for the playoff bracket and one for the remaining bowls?

One for the playoff bracket and another I can safely ignore.

No need to mess with tradition @dixiehack as a follower of a school which I hope will end up in a minor bowl.

Curious to see Tuesday's rankings. A couple of things I'm looking for:

    -- Army's ranking.
-- Will Vanderbilt be in the top 20?
-- Is there a playoff path for Washington State?
-- Will Miami be in the top 5? Top 8?

Can they stumble into a game between ranked opponents?

If Army wins, they'll be undefeated when they play ND at the big ball orchard in the South Bronx.

Two separate threads, please — especially since the first round of CFP games will on campuses.
