I feel the same, UNCGrad. You're not the only one. I just cannot believe this is even close at all, and no matter which way things go, I'm already thinking/planning that I may stay home from work tomorrow. I don't know what that would do, but I find I'm just not interested in anything else right now.

It is humbling to realize the woman who needs three tries and a trip over the curb to park in a handicapped space gets the same number of votes for president as you.

My machine was in the mid-900s, one of three there. Was pleased to see roughly a third of the people there were African-American. Hoping that’s a good sign for the Swinging Seven.

So now I'm thinking the high turnout in Michigan might include a lot of voters like this. Anyone who thinks the guy who wanted a Muslim ban and who supports an extremist like Netanyahu would be the best person to try to at least partially resolve the Israel-Gaza-Hamas impasse is crazy.

In this case, maybe ignorance is bliss.

I'm taking tomorrow off. If there's a call in the wee hours tonight and she wins, I know I won't sleep. I'll want to watch every talking head out there through the night and all day tomorrow. If she loses, I won't want to be around other people tomorrow.

If there's no call, I'll probably still wake up hammered, so well, there you go. Hair of the dog hangover likely.

For her there are only two outcomes:
America will meddle around the world OR
America will REALLY meddle around the world

She's economically socialist and socially conservative. Square peg in a nation of round holes.

"I will stop the war in the Middle East" is like me saying "I'm going to stop the husband and wife down the street from arguing."

My 91-year-old father-in-law is in assisted living and the angelic folks there asked him last week if he wanted to vote. He said yes. He's also in a mental state where he might have thought he was being asked if he wanted vanilla ice cream. Nonetheless the facility took him to the BMV to renew his ID and then to go vote, which is no easy chore. My wife and I are stunned -- not upset, just stunned. No idea if he can even read the ballot.

You wouldn't be able to stop this argument.
