Harris will deliver her concession speech today. From Howard University.

Interesting question: What happens with Truth Social?

Surely Trump won't be able to resist mandating Federal agencies turn to Truth at the expense of Twitter (and to the detriment of Minister of Truth Elon Musk).

Exit Polls Suck, part 1,567,659: NBC's national exit poll said women represented 53% of the electorate and went for Harris 54-44%. Do the math and that poll says Harris wins the popular vote by a hair. This, of course, does not mean anything of consequence except to prove that polling is not reliable.

Jesus, people. Get a hold on yourselves. Yes, it was disappointing. And sad. But not as sad as some of the shit I’ve read here today. Goddam, pull up your big boy or girl pants and get on with your life. 95 percent of the dumb shit he said will never come to fruition.

Not to mention he'll probably be dead in a year or two, tops.

While I generally agree, I would note that if he just enacts mass deportations or if he just enacts 20-100 percent blanket tariffs or if he just vaporizes NATO, it will be catastrophically bad for the United States. But like I said: Popcorn is ready; I hope MAGA really holds him to all his promises.

Because you might not have gone BECAUSE you decided you couldn't afford it and/or didn't want to go into staggering debt.

And you're feeling like a schmuck for being responsible instead of taking a chance that "it'll all work out somehow!" It's a human nature kick in the nuts.[/QUOTE]
Except that you shouldn't really feel like a schmuck because the notion of debt forgiveness was never a matter of public discourse. It was never a campaign issue. There was never a time when anybody said, "I'm gonna go to college because I have reason to hope the government will loan me money and then decide I don't have to pay it back."
For most people claiming to be outraged at debt forgiveness, the true source of their rage is contempt of education and particularly of higher education. And that's another discussion thread altogether.

Don't forget that JV Vance, author of the preamble of Project 2025, is gonna be VP. I'd feel better if McConnell and somebody else of that odious klan would declare unequivocally that Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and coverage of pre-existing conditions are safe.

They're not. The Republican Party fought all of that tooth and nail in the first place and has been trying endlessly to get rid of them ever since for 90 years.

For the millionth time: I pay the same high f*cking grocery prices too as my MAGA enemies. I pay too much in rent and can't afford a house. Can't afford to replace my car which is from the mid-2010s. I have a single income. I pay so much to student loans that have not been forgiven.

And yet....and yet I didn't use those facts as excuses to vote for a racist, psychologically defective conman. Because I can see things people don't see. Or want to see.

So f*ck you to every delusional punk who voted for him...and to those who didn't vote for him or Harris....or didn't vote. F******ck you. You f*cking thieves have robbed me of my patriotism and my happiness and my peace of mind. F*ck you.
