There were no tactical errors that affected the outcome. Nothing was going to overcome the idiocy, hate, idiocy, self-victimization, idiocy, prejudice, idiocy, vindictiveness and idiocy wired into the worthless brains of those who voted for him.

If you repeat lies often enough, people will believe them. They believed them.

I’m in the wrong place to receive Harris’s message right now.

It’ll still be there but, for those of us who work miserable, manual labor jobs, can those workers make it from age 65 to 72 or 73 to get a decent payout?

I’m fortunate in that I’m able to max out my 401k (and living like a bit of a pauper right now) but so few can realistically do this.

You can begin collecting at what? 59 and a half?

    62. 59 1/2 is when you can start pulling from your 401(k) without penalty.

Sorry if you’re going through this, but those are the people who I’ve lost sympathy for. They voted for the people who will be making them work longer.

Harris was actually touting an idea to expand Medicare so that it would pay for home health aides to come in the home for perhaps up to 20 hours a week to help care for elderly people. For caregivers taking care of their elderly loved ones, that could have been a game-changer.
Problem though, was Harris never really pushed it, and the idea got lost in the noise.

And the focus went to worrying too much about the few dozen transgender athletes in girls sports instead.

    Levene: The economy is weak

Blake: The economy is weak? The f*cking economy is weak? YOU'RE weak. If you don't like your job, leave. I got news for you pal, if you think prices are high now, wait till the tariffs kick in. And if you think Uncle Sam owes you low prices, you're barking up the wrong tree you commie son of a bitch.

From the "like rain on your wedding day" file ...

In 2018, Arkansas voters approved casino gambling via a statewide vote. It granted casino licenses to four locations around the state. One of the locations (Pope County) actually voted against legalized gambling by a slim margin. They didn't want it, but they got it thanks to the rest of the state.

Casinos get built, sports betting apps get launched - except in Pope County - and then we get to 2024.

A shadow group purporting to be in favor of letting local voters decide if they want a casino or not gets an issue on the ballot to cancel the Pope County casino license. The existing casinos and one of the Oklahoma tribes with casinos smack on the border likely funded the dark money groups that ran ads in every local TV break for six months. And they won, the issue passed and the casino won't be allowed to be built in Pope County.

Except 55% of Pope County voters voted against the issue to keep a casino out of their county. They now want it, but won't get it thanks to the rest of the state.
