Aaaand one more thing about the f*cking inflation that caused everybody to lose their g*ddamned minds: what was the alternative? It was instituting austerity which would have led to high unemployment and THAT would have been used as a cudgel by the pumpkin cult.

Don't like high prices? You'll love no income.

Hmmmm. Just for a diversion, I went to check a dating profile I have on Farcebook -- I hadn't looked at it in six months (and before that, I'd click once a month or so).

Well, one of the profile pictures is a "personal statement" in which I had expressed the opinion a particular political figure should be in prison (that weeds out some of the totally batshit potential respondents).

I also expressed a similar opinion in one of the profile Q&A pages.

At no point did I hint violence or any extralegal action on the part of anybody.

But I found out today the profile pic and QA response had been deleted because they "violated community standards."

    And so it begins.

There were some silver linings in North Carolina amid the obvious issues. In addition to Jeff Jackson, Neither Mark Robinson nor Michele Morrow won their races, thank goodness. And Don Davis beat Laurie Buckhout.

Can we be certain you-know-who will in 2028? Or will they try to have the system manipulated by then?

Will we ever vote for a President again?

    No, they're not.

And my head is spinning trying to understand why so many more voted for it.

There is no money you have put into Social Security your whole life. It doesn't work like a savings account. The money taken from our checks the last 40 years has been paid out to grandparents and parents. That money is gone. They system is sustained by working generations kicking up to the prior ones. Between the glut of Boomers and modern medicine keeping people around past their expiration date, that's why it is struggling to keep pace.

Good thing we’re gonna run off all the immigrants who have been paying into it with no hope of ever collecting!

With respect to you Chris, one of the annoying things I have seen is analysts comparing the crosstabs of the last three elections. Three completely different kettles of fish.

I've got to say that Mike Gee called this one very early.
It later it me like a Mack truck.
    Respect to Gee.

Republicans keep Boebert's former district. Looks like the D will keep her seat in the most competitive district, where I live.

All the ribbing I've justly gotten here over the years for, well, inaccurate sports predictions, and this is the fucking one I get right. Monkey's Paw in action.
