I disagree on the rising stars.

Gretchen Whitmer has the most name recognition of any Democratic woman and I don't think she's a viable candidate on the national stage because of how volatile Michigan has been. I personally like her a lot, but I don't think she changes the electoral math or inspires turnout.

AOC could inspire a movement but she's already incredibly polarizing.

Any other woman, including sitting governors, simply don't have the name recognition or sizzle for 2028. Michelle Obama isn't it, either.

To me, it's already down to Buttigieg/Shapiro. Newsom has the same issue as AOC in that people have already made up their minds about him. I'm sure Newsom will run, but he could get Jeb'd.

A dark horse could be JB Pritzker if he can elevate his national profile. I like Wes Moore and Ruben Gallego, but they'd have a lot of work to do.

If Harris had won, you would have seen headlines like "Senate rejects HHS undersecretary nominee over DEI writings."

Now get ready for "Secretary of State Tucker Carlson on Putin payroll, DOJ declines to press charges."

Y’all know we’re going to have 10 years of a JD Vance presidency, right?

The amount of women I’ve met who like him scare me. This dump really is a lost cause.

You need someone who can actually fire back. Trump was saying that kids were going to school and coming home a different gender without their parents knowing. The Dems didn’t fire back at because they wanted to avoid the trans issue. They didn’t mention how terribly and narcissistically he handled Covid because they didn’t want to remind people of it. This should have been shit that Kamala or at least some surrogate was tackling every day.

Vance has the charm and personality of syphilis. Much like the other Diet Trump contenders, I don't really think he's viable on his own. And if Trump is truly out of the picture for whatever reason, I suspect it'll be an absolute bloodbath to snatch the R nomination. Part of the reason why Trump rose to power was because 10 other Republicans were busy stepping on each other's necks.

Financial Guru Elon is already out there seeding the ground, warning that things are gonna have to get a lot tougher for the nation at large until we can arrive at the golden nirvana of MAGA economic victory.

In 2005, Mark Halperin (yeah, I know, not yet disgraced) wrote an entire book on how the Democrats could come back in 2008. The name Barack Obama did not appear in it.

Once Biden chose Kamala as VP, she was going to be the next nominee if she wanted it, whether that was 2024 or 2028. You can’t piss off black women of a certain age, who are the unshakable rock of the Democratic Party. Even if he said he was a one term President in 2021 or after the midterms, he had to support her.

Do I think that Mayor Pete could have won? Maybe. Shapiro? Possibly. But the game was done.

Everyone knew the Senate was lost because of the states involved.

It is unconscionable that people looked at the House and the nonsense that has transpired and said -- yea let's bring all this back AND add to them so we can do it all over again for two years.
