So, once again, a Republican president replaces a Dem in a time of no national crisis. And when a Dem replaces a GOPer the time is calamitous.

The Democratic Party: cleaning up Republican crises for decades....and then being told GTFO for their efforts.

I wanted to give her a shot because of my distaste for Trump. However, there is really very little in her agenda that aligns with me, aside from a level of being a decent person.

She was the VP over what I consider Jimmy Carter’s previously unreleased second term. Economicially, her agenda wants to come after me.

I’ve noted on here that I’m part of the dying breed in politics. The Reaganite, the Romney Republican — a RINO, as the MAGAs would call me.

I believe strongly in “designing a life”, with methodical and disciplined planning but also knowing life may throw a curveball at me. I live like a man who makes 40k - old car with 183,000 miles, cook my own food, worn furniture - but the rest of my income goes to college for my daughter and retirement. My goal is to get out of the rat race at 58 (seven years) and move back to Tropical America and open a strip club.

    Yes. You read that right.

I admire your ambitious plan for retirement. I'll be over 80 in seven years, so I doubt I'll get to your new venture, but if/when it happens, be sure to post one of your ads here and include directions.

    Dems on Trump's insanity:
"How do you like it? How do you like it?:

    America:

There’s an irrational level of fear involved. When I was reporting, I covered too many broke seniors living in trailers. I didn’t have a lot growing up.

My SS login tells me I’ll get $4200 a month when I’m 70. I’m skeptical. So I’m trying to fund it myself.

Even trickier, I’m still in TV news and 2024 is the year where we are finally imploding, like newspapers a decade ago. 30 years in, I’ve worked my ass off to, somehow, hang on, meet my career goals and hit the level of income in this racket that I’ve attained.

Now for what you really want.

Monday: Plus-size night. Buffet for clients and performers 4-6 and then performers take the stage.
Tuesdays: 80s night. Performers with feathered hair and leg warmers. I’ll open by performing “She’s a Beauty” by The Tubes, karaoke style.
Wednesdays: Legacy Ladies. 40 and over on the stage.
Thursdays: Anything Goes Today. LGBTQ+. Don’t care who you are or what you want… this is your night.
Sundays: “Uncover The Spread”. If you wear an NFL jersey and that team covers the spread while you’re in the club - you have to be here the entire fourth quarter - 2 girl lap dances for the price of 1.

If any of you say, “I’m here for exmediahack”, I’ll throw in a free 10 minutes in the champagne room. The girls I’ll bring in… ten minutes will be more than enough.

“We told you so” needs to be the Dems’ first response to everything Republicans fuck up.

I don’t disagree. As a Republican, they’ll fuck it up and lose one of the chambers in two years.

Well, OK. She was Jimmy Carter's second term . . .

With interest rates half as high as they were under Reagan, who didn't "come after" you.

BTW, Jimmy Carter's second term would have included Paul Volcker as Fed chief. So it would have looked a lot like Reagan's. ...who kept Volcker.

Reagan also instituted taxes on Social Security, which will be "coming after" some of your retirement income.

This thread gets filed under “Why the far left is radicalizing rapidly”

I’m scared my quarter million dollar job might get taxed too high and jeopardize my retirement strip club.

Just vote for Trump and stop pretending at that point.

    Fuck this country.
