What the people actually care about is the economy and the deficit.

So we're going to elect Donald Trump with his prolific spending, tax cuts, and tariffs.

and he would have done a great job but it would be greeted with a collective FOH

No generation wants to be told that theirs is the one that's left holding the bag when the music stops and it's time to suck it up buttercup. Similarly, no matter how much help they had or how good they had it due to outside forces, the previous generation(s) will always behave like Tony Montana in the hot tub. WHO DO I TRUST? ME! WHO PUT THIS THING TOGETHER? ME, THAT'S WHO! Ain't nobody going to be inclined to help nobody else.

TL;DR: Fuck you, I got mine.

Ew another one of The Cools.

I don’t care. Fuck that guy. Blocking him as soon as he popped back up today with his phony concerned friend bullshit has already boosted my mental health by 10 percent. If I want to hear from a fake-ass Christian moralizer I can knock on any door in my town.

Meanwhile, we could stand a little humor wherever we can find it.

There’s been some really good posts on the politics thread today, but this one might be the best.

The Democrats are the “moral scolds” of society?!? Last I checked, they weren’t the ones trying to impose their religion on everyone via Supreme Court fiats.

What they've voted for is public schools' funds being drastically cut (Those greedy teachers make too much and they're teaching that CRT), Social Security being cut by 30 percent or more (Whatever. I wasn't gonna' see it anyways), Medicare being cut (See previous), NATO (I don't care. I don't even know those people. Murrica first!), Ukraine (See previous) and Israel probably being abandoned to their fates (See previous again), and, of course Project 2025, the 900-page Republican Party manifesto that, really, every single person in this country ought to have read (LOL. what kinda nerd reads that much?) -- preferably before voting. It is truly chilling, and now, all the pieces, and people, are in place in order to put the whole plan into place.

It’s Alma. He doesn’t like being told he can’t do that.

    Exactly.

    Also:
Fuck Kamala, I am voting for Trump. My iceberg lettuce has gone up 20% in four years! I don't know who is going to be picking that lettuce when Trump deports the illegals, but I am positive the price will go down!

Maybe many Trump voters voted for that. But the 5-6 percent who swung from Biden to Trump sure as hell didn't. You may recall that polls showed Project 2025 was less popular then "socialism"!! Trump then promptly denied he had anything to do with it (talk about someone unlikely to read 900 pages) and the Republicans dropped mentioning it for the remainder of the campaign.

lol One of my Mexicana coworkers, who got on the Trump train, is now very concerned that her boyfriend could be deported before the wedding. She’s pregnant, BTW.
