Does this belong here or on some college football coach thread?

That was a carefully crafted statement that doesn’t promise very much. But it got conference partner ESPN to write a story saying the issue of Napier’s future had been put to rest. Mission accomplished.

Midweek MACtion and random bowl games on Dec. 15 aren't going anywhere for just that reason. That cash is just as green as NFL Sundays.

They had to announce that now because facing Texas, LSU, Ole Miss and FSU with a third-string quarterback is a likely 1-3 finish and 5-7 record, so no bowl.

But they are right to say that the young kids on that team have shown lots of promise. If Lagway didn't get hurt I think they had a decent shot at splitting the final two games and getting to a bowl.

My daughter is interning with the Indiana athletic department and when College GameDay was there two weeks ago (that's still weird to type) she delivered a custom "credential" to Ben. RIP to a very good boy.

I've always wondered, I'd heard the lab was a certified service dog, does Herbstreit have anxiety or a fear of flying that the dog helped him with? Sad either way.

Has basketball GameDay ever been to IU? That would be mind-blowing if football beat them to the punch.

Oh yes. So at least cosmic order is restored there.

But I have been told that they’re too good for the ACC. That they are victims of the libruhl machine.
