    Electoral College finishes 312-226.

It's the 2016 map (304-227 with seven faithless electors) with Nevada added as red.

I’m waiting for someone in the media to ask Trump or his minions how they plan to unify the country after such a contentious election.

You know, like how every other president or president-elect is asked.

Or why accepting millions and millions of dollars from foreign governments is smart and savvy and not corrupt and disqualifying

Most politician lie. But you almost have to ask yourself what would be the point? You have to ask, you have to quote them - giving context - but in doing so you almost lend the air of fact to their nonsensical BS.

I'd happily wander with Reagan through the pollution-causing woods of North America than have to do that.

They’ve been quoting him on everything else for the last nine years, so why not ask the question. And besides, he’ll either lie and say he wants to unify everyone, or he’ll just tell his opponents to go F themselves and it’ll be on the record.

I think that many voters, even Trump voters, did not like Kari Lake.

Again, people's anger over student loan forgiveness is absolutely infuriating! It didn't really happen and why is tax cuts for people who don't need them okay?

For f*cks sake, nobody should have to suffer because of your insecurities and delusions. So f*cking tired of people ignoring all the terrible things Trump did do and will do and instead raging against student loan forgiveness. Christ!

Still-stunned Democrats begin to squint toward their future

Trump isn't a brilliant politician, Rep. Torres. He isn't a brilliant anything. He's the most ignorant POTUS ever. He's an angry, delusional Fox News couch potato. Just like most of America, apparently. No brilliance is needed when all you do is repeat the racist lies the public has already heard. He's just like me they think. This penthouse tower Ivy Leaguer is just like me!

"People yearn for … someone to tell them the goddamn truth,” a Pennsylvania Democrat said."

So they vote for the biggest, most relentless liar in American political history?!??!

But oh Garrow, I know you'll say, voting is emotional, not logical. Really, when people are faced with illogical, they will call it out. If you take your car to get an oil change and they demand you remove the tires first, you'll know that is illogical.

Trump just realigned the entire political map. Democrats have 'no easy path' to fix it.

After every election, the losing party gets infinite pixels of printed word and hours of talking head punditry telling it it's doomed. I read it about the GOP in 1964 and 2012, I read it about the Democrats in 1988, 2004. 2-16 and 2020. And yet in each case I cited, the losing party then won the next election. Trump's final winning popular vote margin is going to be less than 2 percent. It's a terrible loss because voters refused to believe Trump's oft-stated agenda was real. Neat trick to be both the boy who cried wolf and the wolf. But the idea this election permanently changed the electoral map in this country is nonsense. The Senate elections showed that.

They should have forgiven the interest, put them on a 20-year payment plan (or 10 years), principal balance is forgiven if you make payments for half that term WITHOUT MISSING ANY.
