I remember reading in Sports Illustrated about Tito Horford going to Miami. It was a big deal because he was Bahamian and Miami wasn't a big basketball school (Cleveland State may have been put on probation for what Tito got paid.). Now I'm watching his 38 year old kid drag his ass up and down the court.

    I'm old.

For all the talent on the Celtics, it's borderline alarming how they still need Al to play well for 25-30 minutes to contend. Porzingss can't come back soon enough.

Queta playing center is a pleasant surprise, but Horford has to play in small doses. On offense, the team can be a parody of the current NBA style, 5 guys standing behind the 3-point line.

Suns are 8-1 and keep winning tight games. Got lucky last night with Dallas fouling Nurkic with less than a second left, and Nurkic hitting one of two to win it. Kings-Jazz-Kings up next, then next Friday night in OKC, which of course won't be nationally televised. Ugh.

And of course KD is out for two weeks with a calf injury. Drat.

Two months seems awfully short for a broken hip. I hurt my tailbone in a canoe crash a couple of years ago, and it had me fucked up for a good six weeks or more. And nothing was broken, just bruised all to hell.

Warriors at 8-2 after 7 road games and wins at BOS and OKC is amazing. Better than ‘22 champs. Hope is alive.

Looks like he will be reevaluated around then. They were talking about him coming back this season, so a much longer time out seems what they are planning for.

Zion hurt is a yearly thing. Massive talent, but he can’t stay healthy.

Plus, it always seems like he’s trying to eat his way out of the league. Not as bad as Buster Douglas after he beat Tyson, but still.

Hell, I had emergency hip replacement and was back for my bowling league opener, six weeks to the day later.

Fun game tonight between the Warriors and the Mavs. Klay got his, but Steph finished it with a 10-0 run by himself.
