We are 3 episodes in to the latest season of Shrinking. The cast is so good and it feels like you have known the characters forever.

Anybody else finish The Penguin yet? That was very, very good and very, very messed up.

I have one more episode of The Penguin left to go. It’s been outstanding. And if you didn’t know it’s in the Batman universe, it’s just an excellent underworld crime drama. It could be called “The Driver” or something else mundane. Still excellent.

Edit to add: Cristin Milioti is so great. Her eyes deserve their own Emmy.

On the other end of the spectrum: Yellowstone. It was kinda getting silly in the fourth and start of the fifth season. Same arc as Billions to me. Great first two seasons then the raising of the stakes got too ridiculous.

The first episode after the hiatus was a boring mess.

This may have been the best Batman universe shows. Certainly as good or better than Gotham where we don’t actually get Batman until the very end.

This was so well done. Sofia and Oz both suck but you can’t help but feel for them in a weird way.

The death of Victor I didn’t see coming. He was such a great No. 2 for Oz. I think I see the motivation to kill him off but I really wish he could be back for season 2.

I also didn't see the spoiler coming. Wow.

    What a well-done show.

I thought it was coming earlier in the season. As soon as he put his arm around Vic, I knew what was coming. The entire ending was so messed up, including the final moment with his mother and having Eve dress up like his mother and dance with hm.

I watched 'Accused' on Fox and it is getting heavy banded and slow. The concept is probably hard to pull off consistently.

Rufus Sewell better get the Emmy nod for The Diplomat.

    It is excellent.

Maybe we should have seen it all along.

If I remember correctly, Oz is the one who starts calling him Vic instead of Victor. Short for victim?

The documentary on the guy stealing signs at Michigan is wild. And the best part is the guy's father has a better porn name.

The doc interviews a lot of journalists and that part of the story is interesting, how some people chased down the story and the interaction between fan forums and the writers.

Stalioins is fascinating. He has a child like devotion to Michigan football, but he is incredibly focused. He went through Anap, was a Marine, and an unpaid assistant at Michigan. He poured through video to figure out signs and developed other, deep scouting databases.

It's odd in that Stalions agreed to be interviewed and followed around. His family and friends were also in the documentary. I found a slightly ironic or mocking tone to the doc's treatment of him.

Still very much enjoy Shrinking but 3 episodes in Season 2 and it's getting deeper in all areas, more intense and that's slightly more uncomfortable at times.

I gasped at the end of this week’s episode (episode 6 I think?). Love it when a show can still surprise you like that.
