Let's also remember that if it were up to the shrillest shriekers in the right wing screechosphere, high school and college females wouldn't be playing sports at all -- they fought Title IX tooth and nail every inch of the way and will be cheering wildly when the god emperor revokes it, which will be part and parcel of the Department of Education dismantling. That'll solve the problem once and for all.

... until their alma mater makes the finals and they want tickets.

Which has nothing to do with nothing. Congratulations.

Does the Dept. of Ed. oversee Title IX? If it does, and is dismantled, who will enforce Title IX?

No, it has everything to do with this, because they claimed they were flogging this particular horse out of their heart wrenching concern about female athletes and a desire to preserve the integrity of their competition. If it was really up to them, female athletes wouldn't be competing at all.

I'm sure the God Emperor himself will volunteer his services to make intensive personal locker room inspections, as he often does.

You are talking about a fringe area of disagreement and claiming that the disagreement over this subject is proof that all sorts of greater awful shit will follow. All without evidence. Continue just going crazy on preconceived notions and getting off on imagining the worst just so you can find something new to complain about.

I think the most deliberate way is to stick a foot under the net if someone goes up for a block or tip. Second might be missing the ball you’re trying to smash and “accidentally” hit the girl.

Seems like both sides are doing that.

    I work in defense.

I have two trans people on my team. Should they be concerned about their employment under a Trump-led DoD?

No, I’m just pointing out that the empty-headed rhetoric that the MAGAs are spewing is contradictory.

They say they want to ban all transgender athletes from female sports. They say they want every school kid to be forced to pray in schools. They say they want a national ban on whatever “woke”, “DEI” “CRT” etc. policy. They say they want federal control. Then they flip-flop and say they want to get rid of the agency that enforces federal control. It’s hypocritical.

And you say we shouldn’t take their rhetoric seriously.

    1) Things move slow, if at all.

    2) The possible violation of trans people's rights doesn't signify the total collapse of Title IX.
