They probably deprived him of a lot of scholarships because they couldn’t spell his name.

Ohtani and Judge are the unanimous MVPs. I wonder what kind of odds "Ohtani's intepreter" got on that parlay in March!

Whoever voted Chris Sale for a second needs to have their card taken away.

3 MVPs and the guy still needs three more seasons just to be eligible for the Hall

If he died tomorrow, would he get in despite the 10-year rule? Seriously, I have no idea.

I think he would because he's such a unicorn. But I could also believe he wouldn't. Of course everybody in good standing with three MVPs is in.

I’m with you. Personally, the Hall would look ridiculous if he was kept out. And a Hall in that position can’t afford to look ridiculous!

I know they waived the rule for Clemente.

They would definitely waive the rule, the question is would he get in?

    Why would he not?

And, obviously, Clemente was a special case.

Because he's only had four and Hall of Fame seasons out of seven -- the other three are a terrible year, a very good year with 367 plate appearances and an pretty good one with 425 PAs

From a pitching standpoint, out of seven years he didn't pitch in two and another he only made two starts. Of the other four, one is Hall off Fame level and the other two are very good.

I'm not saying I wouldn't put him in, but I wonder if the longevity is an issue. Is he a pitching version of a Dale Murphy where we don't get to see the deline or a Thurman Munson where he doesn't get to add on to what he's already accomplished?
