Lane Kiffin may not have to worry about needing to win the SEC title game in order to make the playoff. May not have to worry about the SEC title game OR the playoff after this week.

And the Oldest Rivalry in the South goes to the Spiders, a 27-0 thrashing of William & Mary. No quarter, that's 11 of the last 14.

I never have figured out how obese coaches have all the access to nutrition and workout assistants yet ignore it. They preach discipline and accountability to the players yet look like Mama Cass or Jabba the Hut.

Gonna have to put Ole Miss on the no-bet list after this one. Burned twice by these pukes this year.

Teams I am convinced are great:

    Oregon - Yes
    Ohio State - Maybe
    Field - Nah

If the results hold here, SMU has punched its ticket to Charlotte. Miami gets the other spot if it beats Syracuse, Clemson gets it if the Orange pull the upset.

Looking again at Indiana, the Hoosiers haven't even beaten a Big Ten team with a winning conference record. I thought they had beaten Iowa but they didn't play. Are they really a top 12 team?

@dixiehack, I realize you are not a neutral observer, but which SEC team do you think has a playoff bracket run in them?

I still think it’s Georgia until proven otherwise.

If it's IU against some of these two-loss SEC teams, they're in big trouble.

Let's put Indiana (11-1) up against say, SMU (11-2), assuming the Ponies beat Cal and then lose in the ACC championship game to Miami.

SMU's only losses would be to BYU and Miami, and they have a good road win against Louisville. Duke is a decent road win as well. I'd take SMU all day over Indiana's resume, which includes impressive wins against the likes of FIU, Charlotte, Maryland, and Western Illinois.

I do think IU is going to fall like a rock in the rankings, which may make this whole thing moot.

It will be interesting to see if it comes down to IU vs. Penn State for a playoff spot. I guess the Lions beat Illinois earlier in the season, but they too were dominated by Ohio State for most of the game. And that was at home.

The B1G is just such a huge pile of meh after the top four teams.
