NFL Week 12 -- Spaghetti Western

That was some of the funniest video game shit I’ve ever seen.

 

I don’t know if Bryce Young has a career to salvage or if the Panthers even hang on today. But I am damn happy for him right now.

 

This is the Panthers' best effort this season. Yeah, the defense hasn't slowed down Kansas City much – the Panthers aren't on an island on that front – but the offense is actually gaining confidence, Bryce Young looks like he's still learning and picking up things and this team doesn't look grossly overmatched. Finally.

 

I think so. The progress is clearly there. It doesn't come fractionally as easy for him as it has for Daniels in D.C. But I think part of this is that Young and the WRs are still gaining familiarity and forming whatever chemistry they might be able to ... that and McLaurin is miles ahead of anything in Charlotte (Adam Thielen is a superb No. 2, but it's still not close).

They might not hold on because the defense has had a few too many injuries (Derrick Brown, Shaq Thompson for starters) and let too many guys fly away last offseason (Frankie Luvu, Jeremy Chinn). But they actually look competitive, and that couldn't be said at the end of last season and the first two weeks of this one. Laugh – I'll understand – but it's progress.
