I have been flabbergasted by the same thing for the past nine years, SM51.

These same veterans who hold grudges for years if your newspaper misses a Pearl Harbor anniversary story overlook a boatload of disrespect and insults to the troops and military by Drumpf. And then vote for him.

One quote. So much dysfunction. (From a NYT magazine story about Luzerne County, PA).

    1) It’s been drilled into them (sorry for the pun) that Democrats are bad for the military. They aren’t hawkish and they prefer draw down of forces.

    2) Trump has the toxic masculinity that the GI’s and Marines possess. It is what makes them the best; it also makes them the assholes they often times are.

    3) They are trained to follow orders, not to think. Critical thinkers are not conducive to combat until you become an officer and even then. Again, it makes the military really good but in real life, it’s a downside.

    4) The people being recruited topically aren’t from liberal households. Exceptions, obviously, but there is a type.

So, just like any Trump voter who isn’t stupid rich and looking for fewer restrictions to screw people (or a member of the klan), they aren’t voting for what will help them.

Would Donald Trump (or Ron DeSantis) give a flying fuck about fluoride in drinking water if not for his wacko HHS nominee? I'd bet he/they wouldn't even have known there was fluoride in our drinking water -- let alone about all the good it is known to do.

RFK Jr. should fired if he gets anywhere with taking fluoride out of water. Between that, and his vaccine stance, he's going to make thousands, if not millions, of people in this country sick. Just like Trump did during his last stint as President.

This is from back on Election Day, but damn. It just shows what Trump and MAGA are teaching, tolerating and encouraging.

At freaking Beverly Hills High School. It's disgusting and scary. This is the kind of thing this country needs to be concerned about -- and was one of the realest/truest reasons Trump needed to be kept out of office. Instead, such behavior is encouraged, and will continue to be, over the next four years.

As garrow would say, "Thanks, Trump voters."

THIS JUST IN: RFK JR. says he'll outlaw blood donations and blood transfusions
because "We need to keep on being, at our core, the pure Americans we are at birth."

OK, I made that one up. But it damn sure fits, don't it though?

I think these excited voters are going to be disappointed in their man Trump. Apparently, our country really is this stupid.

Thank you for the constructive feedback. I appreciate seeing what someone with active duty experience has to say and pointing out where I’ve been misinformed. Because I don’t have active duty experience but in living in an isolated Navy town for six years where I was given a certain impression, I’ve made generalities.

So thank you for pointing out my errors so I could learn from them instead of a glib response. I mean I’m an asshole far more than I care to admit on this board, but I do appreciate the feedback.
