Didnt understand the Bears play call on a QB draw, on the second to last play, just an odd sequence. You can't take a sack on a planned QB draw period like that. I almost wonder if Williams thought it was a pass play.

It was revenge for not calling timeout in Detroit. And a few other things …

Giants QB Drew Lock post-game interview yesterday. Useless but charming.

Why would they send him to his presser, then fire him? Because it's the Bears, I guess.

They ran out of time to tell him?

He’s gone. And there was nothing we could do.

So the Bears’ brass didn’t know they were going to do this four hours earlier before his presser?

Weird. Just tell him last night or at 6 am and be done. WTF is there to mull or discuss?

Make time. He was a terrible head coach, but that was shitty way of handling it.
But, I repeat, it's the Bears, I guess.

This is such a uniquely American thing.

So because Eberflus couldn't call a timeout late in Thursday's game, the Bears respond by failing to call a timeout and re-evaluate before allowing a coach they intended to fire to go to a presser?

Even post divorce (you assume they both had competent counsel), unless he has recreational drug habits one would really not suspect I cannot imagine Brady has financial needs that would require him to work as a broadcaster.

Probably not, but unless your name is Musk or Bezos, who turns down $375M over 10 years?

(And no, I'm NOT defending Brady ... your larger point stands.)
