    Pierce looks drunk and Al sounds drunk.

    The other thing with Madden is, he didn't start off as the top dog. One week he'd be with Gary Bender, the next with Uncle Verne, ect., on regional games.

    Callaway definitely deserved worse, but I don't think that was known at the time.

    The Mets also fired Willie Randolph on a West Coast trip... after a win and winning three of four. At 3 a.m. New York time.

    Dumb things the Mets did under the Wilpons would be a long thread.

    I agree. Of all the things to complain about.... who gives a shit if he had to do his presser this morning?

    He is getting paid in full for the remainder of his contract. Having to do an extra presser is a small price to pay for giving a series of the absolute worst end-game coaching decision/non decisions I have ever seen in my life.

    The Chiefs’ luck this season is just insane.

    I know some people hate Romo, but he’s the only one to step seamlessly into the no. 1 job. All the others had the chance to get reps before the big seat. Brady could end up being good, but there is no patience.

    Correct me if I’m wrong, but he bought into the team after he signed the broadcasting contract. He’s fulfilling his contract.

    I imagine the league will address that in the off-season (can go with or without blue font).

    I don't give a shit whether he HAS to do an EXTRA presser or not.

    I guess the Bears needed an attorney on retainer, like USC, and fire him on the Detroit airport tarmac.

    My guess is the Bears' top levels:

    1) Decided to dump Eberflus some time ago and had started the wheels turning in that direction, saying, "let's ride out the season and unless he does something miraculous, whack him then." In the meantime they start sniffing out potential replacements;

    2) After the game ending fiasco, they said, "all right, that's it. He goes at the end of the year."

    3) After the PC in which he said he was happy with the way things transpired, they called back and ask him, "seriously bro? You were pleased the way things transpired? Were you misquoted? Fake News from the media?" Eberflus responds, "yes I said it and yes I was serious."

    4) At this point the Bears say, "Fuck this shit. You're fired, right now, right this minute."

    I assume pretty much any time you fire a coach midseason, you accept you're going to have to pay off his contract to the last dollar.

    Or leave him to catch a cab as Florida did to Gerard Gallant.
