You can look at the country, but you just can't tweet
You can rule the kitchen, but you can't take the heat
You can take an important book from the library, but you won't skim
You won't get any punishment, so you'll commit another sin
And you want her to be pro-Israel and you want her to be pro-Palestine
    We want everything
    Immigration, immigration is to blame

You can see the executive mansion, but she'll never live in it
You're the better candidate but were not allowed to win
Republicans break the rules, and let you count the cost
The insecurity is the thing that won't get lost
And you want her to be pro-Israel and you want her to be pro-Palestine
    We want everything
Inflation, inflation is to be blame

Hey!! All of a sudden Sleepy Joe discovers he may have some qualms about the plans of the incoming junta!!

"The last thing we need to do": Biden rails against Trump's proposed tariffs

Biden told reporters on Thanksgiving that he hoped Trump would "reconsider" imposing tariffs on U.S. trade partners

However this didn't dissuade him from making nicey nicey at the Oval Office meeting a couple weeks ago, where he did everything short of eating snails for the god emperor to be.

Guess what Joe!! He ain't gonna "reconsider" nuthin'!! He never "reconsiders" anything, because NOBUDDUH TELLZ HIM WHUT TA DEW. Except Uncle Vlad.

Unfortunately, as soon as he leaves office, Biden will be just like the rest of us: Impotent as far as being able to do anything about anything Trump decides to do. He's just railing, just like us, because that's all he can do.

What Biden should've done, as proposed in this opinion piece in Newsweek, was arrest Donald Trump as soon as he took office in 2021. I agree, and we can only wish, now...

Wishing Joe Biden to not be an institutionalist is like wishing he wasn't over 80. It ain't him. And arresting Trump before making the case would have given the Supremes an ironclad excuse to dismiss it. No easy answers for a country that prefers fascism on behalf of white people.

Someone who supports Trump’s tariffs says it will
bring businesses back the US and bring other countries to heel. I said that’s not how it works. He said “OK, tell me how it works.” I sent a few links. He said “I want you to explain it yourself. Posting links is lazy.”

Is it really lazy? What’s wrong with just posting links that can explain it better than I can?

Barack Obama should have ordered then-AG Loretta Lynch to drag Trump to prison on July 26, 2016, 10 minutes after he made the "Russia, if you're listening" speech on live worldwide teevee. A major-party candidate publicly beseeching an adversary nation to actively interfere in a national election is about as perfect a definition of treason (a capital crime) as can be imagined.

Trump was not and had not been president at that point, so no bizarro world concepts of executive invulnerability from legal jeopardy would have applied. Unless maybe Scalia would have argued Trump should be immune from any legal actions because in his own mind, he already believed he was president.
