It was a sad day when Whirlpool bought Maytag in the 2000s.

I wouldn't be so anxious about it if the last time we had one installed at our former home, an apprentice somehow left a leak in the outside valve when they turned the gas back on. This resulted in our evacuation of the home and my meeting many members of the town's fire and police departments. I'd like to avoid that this time.

We built our house in 2016.

    We're on refrigerator No. 3.

The kitchen sink backs up either right before dinner or right after dinner on Thanksgiving.

Something else (in the bathroom) tends to back up after Thanksgiving dinner …

In the late ‘90s I bought the exact same style and model washing machine my mom had in the ‘70s, a Maytag. It didn’t have a lot of features because it was a 20+ year old washer. Worked great. I left it and a dryer when I evacuated SoCal, or I’d still have it today.

Of course mine was white, not avocado.

This may not be your particular problem, but experience has twice told me to never put potato peels in the garbage disposal.

I peel 'em right over the garbage container.

"Up to two uses per bottle"? Damn, no wonder it eats through everything.

Typically drain cleaner stuff is specifically NOT for toilets (because the piping mechanism/architecture is completely different). Wonder what's different about it that would make it effective.
