The god emperor will use this as his justification for pardoning himself for any and all federal offenses he may ever have committed in his life, instantly upon taking office.

"If Biden can pardon Hunter, I can pardon anybody I want, including myself, otherwise it's VERY UNFAIR!!!"

 

Good. He was literally prosecuted in order to weaken Biden. If it was Trump, he would have fired the special prosecutor immediately and blamed the Deep State.

 

He is going to do that anyway.

 

While I have for a year or four thought Nate Silver was a tool, I thought the heat he got for pointing out Biden and then Harris was likely to lose was stupid. He had a method, was transparent about it and generally speaking called it as he saw it.

But what a fucking tool.

 

I guess I respect that he did it now and not on his way out the door. I'm sure Trumpers will see it differently, while their dude continues to hand out jobs to in-laws and cronies.

 

The idea that Trump didn’t pardon himself in Jan. 2021 because doing so would have broken some kind of norm or unwritten rule is the opinion of someone who was in a coma from 2015 to, well, today, I guess.

Dude does not give one tiny fuck about the way he’s supposed to do something, the way things are typically done or how it will all look to history. If he thought there was a 50.01% chance his staying in the Oval on Jan. 20, 2021 wouldn’t end up in him being physically hauled out by the Secret Service, he’d have tried that, too.
