Did somebody mention The Kings "Father Christmas" earlier? If so, sorry for the repeat. The drummer kicks ass.

The harmony on the chorus punchline – "to the little rich boys" – is mighty fine.

Always thought Eagles' cover of this oldie was the gold standard ...

And then Jon Bon Jovi, of all people, raised the bar even higher.
The smokin' assist from Cindy Crawford adds plenty of wood to the fire, too.

    Speaking of wood...

Imagine how great it was to be Jon Bon Jovi in the late '80s/early '90s. "Hey guys, I'm gonna do a Christmas song. Solo. And I'm gonna make out with Cindy Crawford in the video. Fuck all y'all." And then he gets to say the same thing to his wife!

Probably sacrilege but I'm not a fan of Bing Crosby's version of "White Christmas."
There are half a dozen others I enjoy more.

That said, no one touches Nat King Cole on "The Christmas Song."

Keef ripping through Chuck Berry's "Run Run Rudolph" is always a holiday staple.

I think of a guy like Bobby Helms who sang Jingle Bell Rock - the original and definitive version is still making money, still in the top 10 holiday songs and doesn't hit the public domain for another 40 years. It's like Bobby Bonilla Day. It came out in 1957.

My holiday tradition every year is to clear the dining room table, put on the Lou Rawls Christmas album on Pandora and wrap gifts.

Man has a severely underrated voice.
