I'm disappointed Saban and Belichick aren't doing a podcast now, or streaming - focusing on the coaching at the pro and college levels - the good the bad and the ugly.

Sounds as if Bronco Mendenhall is indeed going to Utah State.

And UNM's OC and star QB are headed for Utah.

Utah State is joining the PAC 12 in 2026 and Bronco Mendenhall views that conference as a better football conference to coach in than the Mountain West

There are many things in life that I don’t understand, with that list growing every day. But towards the top is a new entry: why the hell would UNC want to replace a geriatric retread with another one?

I think I can answer that one. They don't really want to, but interviewing Bill is good advertising to alums and the rest of the fan base. "This is too a prestigious job! Even the NFL's greatest coach wanted it."
Bill's motivation is murkier to me. UNC is both too small and too big a job to fit him now. It's steps down from the SEC, let alone the NFL, and yet NIL means he'd have to be a general manager as well as coach. All the same work for much less pay.

Could Belichick conceivably have in mind having his sons on the staff so that one of them can take over for him at UNC after he's the head coach for a few years, like when Pat Knight was the coach in waiting at Texas Tech? Unlikely, but it's really hard to come up with reasons why Belichick would have any interest at all in a job like that. Frankly I have difficulty understanding why anyone would want to be a head coach these days in the NIL world.

A question asked by nearly every Carolina grad I know, at least among those who still maintain any interest in the football program.

The dance is mutually beneficial. It intrigues donors and gets the attention of NFL GMs.

With Andrew Luck being hired as Stanford football's general manager, I'm wondering if Bellicheck thinks college will be going to more of an NFL model, meaning he will be able to control the roster the same way that he did in New England.

Yeah, obviously, and Bronco is pretty hard-core LDS, but it's still an odd move. But with his QB - who is very good - and OC bailing to Utah, why not.

This might finally spell the end of the 10-year Cam Rising era at Utah.

Yes, it's impossible to find both these guys these days.
Whatever happened to either one of them?? Its like they went into the witness protection program.
