The have video of his arriving by bus from Atlanta, and know that he was in town for ten days. They're trying to find out if he took a bus back out of town. He kept his mask on and paid cash except for the one photo where he was flirting. They've got DNA and a smudged fingerprint. They're going to catch him eventually. What happens in court after that, who knows.

No way. He stalked a (rich, white) guy, then shot him in the back. In public, and on video.

While the reactions (including mine) were distasteful, I think it's weird it to political violence.

The way you know that the power structure is so utterly shocked at the popular reaction to this is Donald Trump hadn’t even thought to propose it first.

I’m using education because it is talked about but insurance companies get a pass (from politicians).

I think the reaction is a built-up frustration at the whole system -- capitalism, health care, etc. I don't think many are condoning mass assassinations of CEOs, but it is symbolic.

And don't let the sympathy of this guy get in the way of the fact that he ran a business model that specifically called for death and suffering to make more money.

Are there better ways to make changes? Sure, but at the very least a lot of powerful people looked a little closer in the mirror this week. Does that mean they will ultimately care or be different? Probably not, but you can't say this hasn't at least been widely noticed and that probably isn't great PR for those in charge.

And yet, nobody bats an eye when the Dow jumps five percent when unemployment goes up. Is this that much different than people celebrating CEOs on CNBC who lay off thousands?

It's telling that the Haves are more concerned that a CEO was killed by a Have Not instead of why.

The weapon the killer used retails for about two grand. Don't be so sure he's a have-not.
