Its Skattebo. The line is good. He is insanely good and impossible to tackle.

Notre Dame specifically signed off on not getting a bye in order to lock in a share of the loot even when it doesn’t make the field. Weep not for the Irish, who also never have to sweat a 13th game before the playoffs.

Iowa State really kicked a field goal there?

Ohio hasn’t won the MAC since 1968. They’re not even making me sweat this one out.

With Arizona State's overwhelming victory here, would the committee move them past Boise? I wouldn't be shocked in the least.

Meanwhile, the last time Iowa State won a conference championship Taft was president, Arizona and New Mexico still had their new state smell, and Wrigley Field hadn't been built yet.

Timotheé Chalomet is now our celebrity fan after being the only one to pick the Bobcats.

The other options are Matt Lauer and the corpse of Roger Ailes.

ND's best wins might be against the MAC runner-up (Miami) and the AAC champion (Army). It played four G6 teams, ACC bottom-feeders Stanford, FSU and Virginia, the worst P4 team in the country (Purdue), another bad Big Ten team (USC) and two middling ACC teams (Louisville, Ga. Tech).

It played only three true road games. And it lost AT HOME to frigging Northern Illinois, which was 4-4 in the MAC.

I think this ND team is better than the complete frauds earlier in this century that were blown out in NYD bowls/playoff games. But I do not expect them to last very long in the playoffs. They can't even develop their own quarterbacks anymore.

A caveat: I make no bones about my complete dislike of all things Notre Dame. In any sport, on any day, at any location.

Ah, let us not forget Al Bundy himself, Ed O'Neill. He did not score 4 touchdowns in a game for the Bobcats.

And as we used to say "Muck Fiami"
