Buyer beware. The previous coach had one losing season (5-6) in his five-year stint. In three of the other four years, his teams won nine or more. Who do they think they are? They’re not national champions. That’s the distinction they earned at the FCS level.

    Dear Frank Solich,

    Retirement is overrated…

They took Ohio’s quarterback. They took Ohio’s point guard. Why shouldn’t another school take Ohio’s coach?

Why even build great programs in the MAC just to have them poached year after year.

To Charlotte? That’s an absolute nothing of a job. If a MAC school can’t hold them off then there must not be a penny left in the bank.

So NC State DC Tony Gibson replaces Charles Huff as HC of Marshall which leaves NC State needing a new DC

Rumors in the fanbase are he was salty over not getting a contract extension after back-to-back 10-win seasons from the AD and was out the door for a while.

The hope is Solich built a foundation so strong that it will perpetuate itself through another coaching change.

I wanted him fired after his first season, so what do I know?

I read in this story that Huff turned down an extension with the Thundering Herd. Had not seen that previously.

Has any college football program ever hired a head coach who had five consecutive losing seasons at his previous job?
