They made that Notre Dame game a night game just praying for a blizzard.

There isn't one team in the field with a pair of losses as bad as Alabama had. So shush, Nick.

As often as I have criticized the powers that be in college football … I’m pleasantly surprised. I think they got the bracket right, with some good first-round matchups.

The unofficial Indiana college football championship game in particular will be must-watch for me. Go Hoosiers!!

It’s South Bend. They basically have lake effect snow from Thanksgiving through Easter.

    Glad Alabama was left out.

    Now, anybody but Notre Dame.

Yes, there are. Not those two, though, and certainly not reasons for such a whopping jump.

Perhaps a championship game that involved teams from several different geographical areas (West Coast and the Midwest) was a far-more popular viewing option that one involving teams from Georgia and the relatively tiny state of Alabama.

A far better reason for 2023's low ratings is that nobody in Texas, much less the entire country, gives a shit about TCU.

Tell me about it. I’m driving through there the night of that game to get to my in-laws house. Every holiday season is a game of “Will I be stranded on the Indiana Toll Road on Christmas Eve?”

After last years disaster, they had to get it right this year.
    I think they did.

Did Arizona State benefit the most from anyone on Saturday? The way the championships fell in place for them, the Sun Devils went from a possible first-round road game to a first-round bye and the Peach Bowl.

Been there, Hermes. Used to dread driving from Cadillac, Mich., to the Chicago area for the holidays and seeing that familiar dark cloud ahead as I approached Holland.
