I'm probably wrong but while he's a major league player (hitting MLB pitching is hard) but He's Just Another Guy (HJAG) to me; I mean after the last 2(?) years that's what I saw, pencil him in for .265/.320/.400, WAR 0.1.

Wow!!! That's just hanging around $$ for a billionaire though right?

I'd love our owner to be a billionaire who wants to win like Cohen.

When is the last time the Yankees failed to retain a free agent they wanted? And who was he? Anybody know?

Robinson Cano? Who ended up a scandal-plagued Met!

Very good possibility. He was fifth in AL MVP voting in 2013 but signed with the Mariners thereafter.

Flags fly forever, Mets fans. Good for you. Win a WS or two, and the deal is more than worth it, no matter how it ends.

When you have a chance to sign Ted Williams, you should.

    Thanks a lot, Cubs.

Not signing Cano to $250M wasn't the dumbest worst idea ever. But they pivoted from him to Jacoby Ellsbury, who was made of onion typing paper. This is why the Yankees are really in a bind. Cashman is a terrible GM. Signing Soto would have papered over a lot of their holes.
