it will depend on the pivot — if they signed Burnes and Hernandez and Alonzo for half of Soto is that better? And then whatever they add on top?

Do you believe Cashman can do that? I don't.

Holy fuck. Steven Cohen wasn’t gonna be denied. Having an owner like this is a helluva lot of fun.

That is a giant fucking contact. But ain’t my money.

if he doesn’t either Hank is telling him they can’t spend like that or he’s going to get fired because they are going to take a huge step back and Soto is going to hit like crazy in the same city and cashman gets it rubbed in his face

It's an odd fit for Adames. Not a great ballpark for power. He can be very streaky as you mention. Has range, but also has some brain farts too, especially throwing the ball.

I'm happy for him. Zero complaints with him as a Brewer. I will say I think last year screamed career year and might not translate long term.

Juan Soto’s walk-up music when he plays at Yankee Stadium for the next 15 years:

Soto at least had a year in New York, so he knows how to handle the pressure. Bonilla wasn’t prepared for the daily scrutiny from the media, in spite of being from tbe Bronx.

As a wise man once said — I want the owner of my favorite team to be a billionaire who doesn’t mind losing money.

Didn't know the extent of Cohen's riches, he's worth $21B, not merely a billion or so.

There's no chance Soto is worth the money, but he's not going to be a fucking disaster like Bonilla, who wasn't even the best player on his own team (I know Judge won the MVP, but I'd rather have Soto, six years younger, than Judge going forward) the year he hit free agency.
