    Alabama could afford to lose to Oklahoma, even a bad OU team. What they could not afford was the loss to Vanderbilt. That was the poke in the eye test.

    A win either way would have sufficed, because then they would have bumped UGA from the conference title game and the whole “don’t punish the loser” bit would have attached to them too.

    He’s the only one whose water balloon fell incomplete when he was trying to hit one of the demons confronting them. In his case it was “Can’t beat Top 5 teams.”

    So if UNC does not hire Bill Belichick, what have they got left? That one is starting to feel like closing time at the singles bar.

    Belichick said it’s possible. The other alleged candidates have said they’re out. That tells me it’s his to accept.
