    Damn. That's awful news. I met Babs a few times when I was allowed out of the office during my short PGA.com stint and he was always gracious and welcoming.

    One of those Central Florida kids who made good.

    RIP.

    Golf Twitter has done a wonderful job saluting and remembering Babs. Really heartfelt.

    Didn't know him but knew of him and his work. Just awful news. RIP.

    I stand corrected. Thought all this time he had grown up in the Lakeland/Orlando area but never actually asked him about it.

    Damn. That's an outstanding piece. Weaving in his childhood memories with his dad's dying in a way that gets you at the end.
