Very happy Max Fried is no longer with in the NL East. Great pitcher.

Guardians pawn Andres Gimenez’s lousy contract off to the Jays, flip the bounty for Luis Ortiz and change.

That Guards trade went from “Whoa, that’s weird” to “Wow, they turned a defense-only $17 million guy into a 25-year-old middle of the rotation starter” very quickly.

    It’s also quite possible I’m
subconsciously hating on the guy because he no longer plays for the team for which I root. I’m reading Dostoyevsky’s “Devils” right now. I’m open to my mind creating anything and everything at the moment.

Watching Canadians lose their mind and just realized people outside Cleveland think Gimenez is a great hitter. He’s not. He’s a bad hitter who will make $23 million a year for two years in 2027 and 2028. His 2022 season was fluky. The defense is spectacular, but kinda wasted at second base. This also clears the deck for Travis Bazzana.

C'mon, Cubs, make the Kyle Tucker deal.

The White Sox front office only took this deal after being told — and it took multiple sources— magic beans aren’t real things.

Call me an optimist, but I don't think the Orioles are out of the Burnes sweepstakes just yet.

Is it me, or did anyone else expect the White Sox to do better? The centerpiece returning player is a catching prospect — apparently a really good one, but still.

I'd like to believe that, but I think the chances are as good as making it from Towson to Owings Mills in five minutes.

Burnes is going to demand more than Fried.
