    How many NFL jobs have ever opened in summer? I agree it is an escape hatch for something, but not Shieldball.

    I think it's pretty clear now, after two seasons, that nobody in the NFL wants him. At least on his terms.

    The buyout dropping to $1m has to be an escape hatch in case Bill hates it. He can make $1m back doing McAfee and Inside The NFL in one calendar year.

    Also, Belichick's son is the "coach in waiting," right? When does that kick in? Is there a clause Bill has to coach X games for that to take effect?

    If ESPN doesn’t set up a game against Phillip Rivers and his Catholic school down on the Gulf Coast then I question what my increased YouTube TV rates are even going towards.

    Better than the twice-as-much that I'd pay with Dish or DirecTV, I guess.
