That wasn't his only drop in that game. He's had a bunch this season.

I'm leaning toward this opinion. Either way, from reading the comments on teh twitterez last night and some of the gamers today, none of his teammates want him back.

I didn't really think the second-place NFC West team would be much of a threat to grab a wild card, but that changed when the Rams beat the Bills. L.A. has a really good chance to win out -- Jets away, Cards and Seahawks at home -- which would give them the division. That leaves Washington and Seattle battling for that last spot. Commanders currently hold the tiebreaker, which is better conference record. Currently Washington 5-3, Seattle 4-4. Both teams close with all NFC games, so if they both go 2-2, Washington gets the nod.

Commanders finish: at NO, vs. PHI, vs. ATL, at DAL
Seahawks finish: vs. GB, v. MIN, at CHI, at LAR

Commies definitely have the schedule advantage.

That I did not know. I agree that this one probably ended his career.

Yes. Hopefully he rented rather than bought in S.F. Or maybe I hope that he did buy and spent a lot of that money.

Purdy is the biggest question mark. But if there was QB on the market that would take a little under value I suspect it would be him. I think that organization can convince him how important it is for his success to have the flexibility to add and retain talented skill around him.

It also helps that the market for him would be the Raiders, Giants, Titans, Jets, and Saints.

The big curiosity this year is the Bengals. I took a look at yards per point, which looks like a decent predictor of success. The fewer yards you need to gain per point scored, the better you are. The 2024 Bengals check in at 12.997 yards per point, which is really good. Historically, it says you should finish 12-4 in a 16-game season. So they should be on track for 12-5 or 13-4, but they're 5-8. Starting with the year of the latest Reformation (2002), no team at < 13 yards per point has finished with a losing record.

That's the second one of these we've had in a couple of weeks. There was a Ravens player who did the same thing against the Eagles.

The Bengals have given up 28 points a game. That might explain a few losses.
