Maybe, but Crochet does still have to show he can hold up over a full season as a starter. He didn't pitch more than four innings in any start the final three months of the season and he wasn't great when he did pitch during that time.

Teel is a good prospect and he could be in the majors this season, though they already had Edgar Quero, who is at least as good a prospect and might make it the majors first.

Yanks do need to bolster the lineup, but there's no question that Williams will be an upgrade over Holmes.

I've seen some reports Yankees have made an offer around $100M, but nothing credible enough to share.

I thought they might make a strong run at Pete Alonso, but there doesn't seem to be much there.

Alonso doesn’t seem to be high on anyone’s wish list so far.

I know he is due to be a free agent after the 2025 season, but that does not seem like much of a return for Tucker. I'm surprised the Yankees didn't find a way to beat that offer. He would have been a hell of a replacement for Soto.

There have been rumors of the Yankees getting Bellinger, either to play first or the outfield.

Guess I’m just surprised to see so much interest in Bellinger and Christian Walker over Pete, who I think is better than both.

It’s because of cost, I suppose, but I’d rather shoot for Pete and have to pivot to Walker or Bellinger, than the other way around.

After getting burned by Soto, I think the Yankees were gun-shy about giving up a ROY and Spencer Jones for another potential rental. Tucker is going to free agency, so I guess they’d rather take a shot at him next year with Gil and Jones still in the fold.

Yeah, he picked a bad time for a so-so year ahead of free agency. And he's north of 30, with stats trending the wrong way.

His market might be narrow enough that the Mets can keep him on a discount. He still has power that's not easy to find and is adequate at first base.
