Rogue Dead Guy Ale.

 

I've been terrible homebrewing. Haven't made anything since Aug. I'm down to one sixtel in my 6-tap keezer.

 

I’m about to kick a dunkel and just put a pretty solid mosaic pale ale on. I think I’m going to bottle up a couple and send them to a comp in Chicago early next month.

 

A sixer of those 6.8 ABV beers had me hung the fuck over the next day. Haven't had a beer since, although I've had some Johnnie Walker black.

 

Miller Lite. It was my bar’s Christmas party, so I also was given a bourbon pour and bourbon shot just for being such a nice guy and a semi-regular. I tipped them $100 like I did last year. I don’t know anyone as a friend, but they like me well enough that it’s a comfortable place to drink.

 

Eggnog with a shot of gold rum. Tradition!

 

I used to enjoy a glass or two of spiked egg nog each holiday season — in fact, we all used to have one in my former shop when we got the final Christmas pages out (with early deadlines) on Christmas Eve.

Way too many carbs in egg nog for me to drink it now. Just give me a shot of the rum!

 

Publix was out of Southern Comfort nog so I had to drop down to the store brand. A rare instance when the quality is a noticeable drop from the brand name. May need to secure a cheap bottle of bourbon once I’m back in town to save it.

 

Sometimes I make it half and half eggnog and 2% milk. Plus the booze, of course.
