Yet another thing he may permanently ruin, and would especially negatively affect the rural Americans who love him so much.

The postal service should not be driven by profit.

Maybe not, but I can certainly vouch that something needs to be better than what's in place now.

And nah, Matt. That's the one last bridge I'm refusing to cross for now. I am counting on semi-sensible individuals to block the more ridiculous and dangerous aspects of Trump's mind. This is why I'm not pacing the room.

The American public doesn’t give a shit about what’s best for the country. The American public only gives a shit about what’s best for itself.

The GOP has been after the USPS for decades, in part because it hates unionized employees and the postal union is strong.

Amazing the quality of service would decline with cutbacks in employees, refusal to upgrade equipment and invest in infrastructure.

I like the USPS. Privatizing it will eliminate hundreds of rural post offices and penalize the people who voted for Trump. But he just doesn't care, and Joe from Wyoming will blame Biden.

I mean ... sure they didn't stop him when he tried to orchestrate a conspiracy to steal an election, and sure they didn't stop him when he sent a mob to sack Congress, and sure they didn't stop him when he obviously committed obstruction of justice ...

But I'm sure - when push comes to shove - they'll for sure stop him.

Trumpism dragged, and will continue to drag this country thru hell to end up with tax cuts, right-wing judges, deregulation and privatization....which literally any other GOP prez would have done. And would done without as much corruption, insanity and mafia racketeering.

Doing my best not too. ... but history is pretty replete with stories of, "he seemed fine and he made a lot of promises that sounded good and we didn't realize the damage he was doing until it's too late."

I'm super content in four years to be called Chicken Little.

The immigration stuff today reminded me to go back and read this article. This is a hell of a discussion between a man and his father-in-law.

“I’m going to be straight with you,” he told Jaime. “I voted for Trump. I believe in a lot of what he says.”

“I figured as much,” Jaime said. “You and just about everyone else around here.”

“It’s about protecting our rights as a sovereign country,” Sky said. “We need to shut down the infiltration on the border. It’s not about you.”

“It is about me,” Jaime said. “That’s the thing I don’t understand.”

Remember when I was scolded and called a Chicken Little for saying he was going to win again?

    And then he won again?

And then that dude don't post here no more?

    Good times.
