I was thinking the same thing, though Paredes should at least be useful, so I wouldn't say they got nothing that helps in the short term.

I don't get it, either. Does the guy want to win?

Maybe he just hates Houston’s flood prone ass. I wouldn’t want live there or anywhere in Texas except maybe some eastern hill country.

I’d forgotten the Valley Fever timeline as well. The other very Metsian thing that happened to Ike was an infield collision with David Wright that was deemed a calf strain. It ended up being a fractured ankle that needed surgery and (I believe) ultimately led to the end of his career.

If I recall, he also fell out of favor with the Super Genius Wilpons because he went out drinking occasionally.

Justin Turner was in the same group that fell out of favor so they let him walk. I’m not sure if Turner ever recovered or made a name for himself in the big leagues after the Wilpons deemed him unworthy…

The Mets have made errors but let’s not forget they’ve got a couple WS banners and have got to WS a couple of times in last 25 yrs; ask Tiger fan, Jays fan, As fan if they’d take that.

Don't the Jays have a couple WS banners too, earned more recently than the Mets?

I was thinking NYM since '00 was better than Jays (won '92 & '93)

Just admit it. Sorry not sorry will suffice.

That'd be nice, but Arenado is full-on MAGA. Didn't get vaxxed, posted a Rage Against The Machine clip without irony after the election, etc etc.

I'm pretty sure Turner bounced around the indy leagues for a while. Probably coaching junior high ball somewhere now or something.

Not the first time he’s guilty of whitewashing.
