Two hours to kickoff and he's on the GameDay set is ... interesting.

And Saban with another "shit." What's the season record for GameDay curse words?

Maybe it's been asked and answered, but why have Notre Dame and Indiana only played once since the 50s? And not since 1991?
Notre Dame has played plenty of Big Ten teams on a regular basis, so how or why have they skipped Indiana? Is it an in-state politics thing? A secular vs. Catholic feud of some sort? Or just a bizarre coincidence?

Look, I curse quite well. Fluently. But it’s still weird to hear it on ESPN.

Notre Dame has more history with Purdue and Michigan, plus Michigan State is also closer in the Big Ten. The Irish and Hoosiers have two games scheduled in 2030 and 31, I believe.
Indiana football has basically sucked for several years and last won the Big Ten in 1967. Notre Dame gains virtually nothing by making Indiana an annual game. The Irish already have an ACC schedule plus the almost annual games with Purdue, USC, Stanford and Navy.

Not saying it should be an annual game, but it's weird that it's a never-happened kind of game. Notre Dame plays its share of body bag games, so it's not like they should be holding their nose in the air about Indiana not being up to Notre Dame's level. The ACC thing is really just the last 10 years or so. It's surprising to me that between 1958 and even 2010ish that they never played when Notre Dame had more schedule flexibility.

Although, looking at their history against the Big Ten, maybe they do just stick to the Michigan-Purdue-Michigan State rotation, with the occasional Ohio State mixed in, and ignore the rest. It's been a long time since they've played Iowa and Illinois (both 1968), and Minnesota (1938!). They played Wisconsin in 2021, but the last time before that was 1964. I just assumed they'd have rotated some of those teams in and out more often over the years.
