Buddy if I could get off the empathy train I would have bailed a dozen stops ago. My quality of life would be better.

I’m staying through the credits of this thread but not intending to spend much time in the new one.

But I will never forgive President Felon. And I will struggle to forgive the people who saw the proof of his power to destroy lives and put him back in position to destroy more.

This is an example of where/when smarter, better heads need to have some way, some path of power, to prevail over the idiots and criminals now at the top of the government. There is no link between vaccines and autism, and yet, Trump and RFK Jr. just keep spreading that dangerous, debunked idea.

These parents recognize that the U.S. is not going to make space for disabled people. In their calculation, their chances of reversing vaccine injury with unsupported, experimental treatments are better than convincing policy makers to care for disabled people. We don’t need to squander resources studying a phenomenon that does not exist. If Trump and Kennedy actually cared about autism, then they would be asking how our policies can promote the inclusion and safety of disabled people.

 

Also, blaming vaccines means the diagnosis isn't the result of the genes of the parents. Not their fault!!

 

I heard a report that many corporations donate to inaugurations - its just the companies are being more public about it this year to flatter Trump and perhaps assuage Trumpers. Again, seriously - these companies should have pledged the money ahead of the election. Save themselves a headache.
