That was the one in Houston. I didn't get to go to that one but my boss did.

I thought that the replays sometimes got too close to live action but otherwise agreed.

I was there. Didn't know what the hell happened until my desk called me. CBS put out a statement after the game apologizing "for the unfortunate incident that occurred at the end of halftime." I thought they were referring to the guy who, just before the second-half kickoff, ran onto the field dressed as a referee and wearing a sash bearing the URL of an offshore gambling website. Tedi Bruschi and a Panther decked him, Mike Curtis-style. I wondered why CBS and its corporate parent, Viacom, would apologize for a security failure that fell on Homeland Security, the Secret Service and the Harris County Sheriff's Office. I was busy with early notes at halftime and didn't watch anything on the field. And unless you were looking at the scoreboards on either end of the stadium, you weren't going to be close enough to notice the Wardrobe Malfunction.

His offensive line couldn't handle a four-man pass rush most of the game and Wilson turned back into the guy The Broncos paid over $30 million to go away, but he had plenty of company in sucking today. The defense blew one coverage after another today, but it wasn't just the Chiefs doing what they do. The Steelers did the same thing against the Ravens. Burrow might throw for 500 yards on them in the season finale.

Third game with a 31-2 score in history. Cowboys over Giants on 9/19/1965 and Packers over the Boston R-words on 10/11/1936 are the others.
First time an NFL team has scored exactly two points since 9/8/2013, when the Jaguars lost to the Chiefs 28-2.

I thought the Giants-Falcons playoff game that ended 24-2 was much more recent than that, but that was in the 2011 season (January 2012).

I forgot to look for all games and to add the qualifier. But, yes, that was on 1/8/2012.

Highest single-season passer ratings in NFL history, ≥ 200 attempts:
    1. 122.46 by Saint Aaron of the Unvaccinated, 2011
    2. 121.57 by Lamar Jackson, 2024
    3. 121.53 by Saint Aaron of the Unvaccinated, 2020

The NFL is simply staggering into the playoffs. Maybe its just a weird year, but the good teams are good, the bad teams are quite bad and some of them will still make the playoffs (where they will lose in the first round). The only drama in the AFC is which team will be joining the Chiefs, Bills and Ravens in the semis.

Two games between playoff teams and their blowouts? Are we advocating to keep Houston and Pittsburgh out ? College football fans
