What the fuck, that was worse than I thought, even with the self-aware lede. Rickey didn't play to win? He was the 1989 ALCS MVP and drew the walk to start the Blue Jays' World Series-winning rally in 1993! I picture Bert Campaneris reading this and going what the fuck, leave me out of this. Also, Campaneris left Oakland in 1976, but why let facts get in the way of another racist screed?

Yeah, that was awful. He whines about Henderson not stealing second in that game against the Yankees. He ignores that New York was up 2-0 at the time, there were no outs, and there was Dave Henderson, Canseco, Steinbach and McGwire coming up. And the A’s scored four runs in that inning anyways.
