    Lotsa trivia about Lerrin ...

1, Won the '69 CWS at Arizona State

2, Lerrin LaGrow, a 6'5" righthander whose mother picked his name out of a magazine, had scouts beating a path to his door in high school. "I told them that Coach Winkles convinced me I should play for him," says LaGrow, "and they didn't bother to draft me." Odd one for the Sun Devils

3, Sun Devil teammate went to my HS.

Tired hack Mushnick writes completely wrong and moronic column. Because he's a tired hack who is 25 years past being relevant.

Joe Buck catches a lot of shit for being a nepo baby but he handles it well and I honestly think he’s a better broadcaster than his dad.

There were some real redasses on that 1969 ASU roster.

I don't know the extent of the animosity between the two, but Joe reacting to it indicates it's high and I do think he should've let it go. Cue Elsa.

Len Randle should get a few HOF votes just for this.

He's gotten so much more likable over the last decade and I can't put my finger on why. Did the divorce/midlife crisis humanize him? Is it the ironic post-modern nonsense now mainstream? Or is it simply him just focusing on football and not being in our face 24/7/365?

    1) He doesn't take himself so seriously. 2) There are a lot more hateable sports media types to come along since he was Public Enemy No. 1.

Shoot, the Rushmore these days is McAfee, Herbstreit, SAS and Ryan Clark. And I'm not even sure about SAS, Bayless is gone...

For me, it was when he wrote the forward to Artie Lange’s book.
