Ukraine Always Get What You Want

We can't exactly cast the first stone when it comes to shooting down commercial airliners, but still... Russia.

I just saw a blip where North Korean troops got confused and opened up Russian troops.
I don't care if it's true on not. I'm going to believe it because it makes me happy.

It is interesting how much has changed since Carter's time. Russia invades Afghanistan, the US is pressured by the IOC (Lord Killanan) not to boycott. Now Russia invades Ukraine and the IOC says you're not coming, no flags, no nothing (but admittedly - a lot of this was probably due to the drug stuff and invading Crimea WHILE they hosted the 2014 Winter Games.

It's more the drug stuff. And Russia isn't really banned from the games. There's a token suspension of some athletes but everyone else still competes. If there was a true ban, the figure skating debacle from 22 never happens.

As much as the late 70s stalled Carter, the same years seemed to fill Thatcher's sails in the UK. The 1980 Games were famous for the British milers and other athletics stars. Then came the Falklands.

Why is this thread even still alive? Trump ended the war in 24 hours, before he even took office .... didn't he?

It's gonna be another one of these "heads I win; tails you lose" thingys.

If he did end the war today, tomorrow or by the end of the week, you would NOT like the end result. And so you would criticize it.
And if, as expected, he doesn't do a damn thing about ending the war (like his predecessor), you'll criticize that, too.

You know who could end the war in 24 hours, by pulling their military out of Ukraine?

No complaining? On this board? Unpossible.
