Been to the game three times. Yup, it's awesome. There is nothing like the Arroyo Seco on Jan. 1.

For college football, I still want to see an Army-Navy game and a Rose Bowl.

I made it to the Fiesta Bowl when it was still on the ASU campus years ago, and while it was fun, it wasn’t the iconic setting that Pasadena is. (And it’s certainly not now out at the Cardinals’ stadium in Glendale, Ariz.)

Yup, Army-Navy for me. I was in SoCal when Army-Navy was played in the Arroyo Seco 40-some years ago.

It’s not a huge state population wise, it punches below its weight in the number of high-end prospects and its closest natural talent pipeline (NorCal) is still 500-ish miles away. The story is how well they do despite those built-in disadvantages. Until three decades ago, the Ducks were considered a weak sister program.

I got to cover two Rose Bowls. It is indeed an amazing venue. I was a bit too hung over the first time to fully appreciate it (the mistakes of a 24-year-old) so I'm glad I got a second chance.

The Rose Bowl absolutely lives up to the hype. It's amazing.

I've been to the bowl game, but here's the Rose Bowl moment that will live with me: I saw U2 there a few days after Chris Cornell's death. As the sun was setting they played "Black Hole Sun" over the sound system. A packed stadium singing that song at sunset was something that still gives me goosebumps.

    That is not the answer.

Phil Knight has spent how much money over the decades to bring in the best of the best players and coaches?

Ducks are 196-62 since 2005, and had the talent to win it 10 times over that span.

They have this weird inability to actual win it. Clemson was that way until they finally did it.

I've covered one Rose Bowl: Georgia-Oklahoma. A truly incredible game in a truly incredible place.

Well if that's the only thing standing in the way.

This is only Texas' second year, no? Although two in a row.

They never show sunsets from the Peach, Cotton or Fiesta bowls.
