The fact that 6 of the 7 games so far have been blowouts of course makes people think maybe the losers shouldn't have been there. But the first four Super Bowls I covered had a combined score of 166-46, only one wasn't over in the second quarter, yet somehow, the NFL felt they should soldier on with the game.

That was a well-done Sugar Bowl intro by Sean McDonough completely wrecked by the upbeat music bed they never bothered changing out from the original plan.

Does anyone else watch J.J. Watt's "It's more important to pick people up than to knock them down" and think that was a bit at a swipe at his football career?

Consecutive running into the kicker penalties is certainly something I didn't have on my Bingo card today.

Did Georgia’s punter desecrate a crucifix or something?

Between the non-targeting call in Texas-Arizona State and calling both of those running into instead of roughing, I think the CFP officials are trying to get someone killed. Sheesh.

A different alum ponied about 1/3 of the actual, final cost of the baseball park, which is quite nice. Phil did pony up again for the new track stadium, which is very nice as well but about two or three times the size they need for almost every meet there.

The basketball arena is very nice. However, compared to McArthur Court, it has all the atmosphere and ambiance as your local Costco.

The new rumor is he will bequeath the funding to dome Autzen Stadium when he passes. Which would be a terrible mistake.

The second one it was a more accurate call. But you’ve got to even the count there after calling a strike when the previous pitch we well off the plate.

When Jody won't sell you the Trailblazers I guess you need to do something.

I wish he (or Nike) was interested in MLB. He/they are the only one with the real clout to make it happen.

Interestingly, he has no political pull. He's donated and endorsed numerous politicians in recent elections and they've all lost. Being a right-wing conservative in this state isn't a winning hand.

If the difference is hitting the plant foot, I thought he got that on both of them. He hit the punter's knee on the first one and his foot on the second.

So should Parker Jones start walking back to Athens now?
