Don't sleep on Texas. They're in practically a home game and T-sips won't cash in with their seat license tickets like Cowboys ticketholders do on a regular basis. Ewers showed some nad in OT.

I'm good with the top five conference champions getting in. There should be a reward for winning a conference championship. Of course, we could be down to three conferences in the next three years.

A thought from earlier. Should the AP go ahead and have another poll Sunday while voters can somewhat still remember who did what in the back half of the Top 25?

The AP poll should go away. At least until Oct. 1.

The SEC Network is going to have to spend the next week hyping and praying for Texas. All they’ve got is a team they’ve hated for decades.

And, really, Texas should not be considered SEC until it's been there for five years. Though it integrated itself quite nicely by playing CSU, UTSA and ULM this year. It has time to upgrade the schedule to include Mercer, South Alabama, Tennessee Tech and UMass.

    Paul? Paul?

By next season I’ll be willing to accept them mentally as real members. This year still feels like tourism.

Same thing for me with Oregon. I was telling someone at work, “I almost always pull for the Big Ten teams, but I can’t stand Ryan Day and the Buckeyes so I was cheering for Oregon.”

“Aren’t the Ducks also in the Big Ten?”

    Uh … I guess?

Of the 12 playoff teams, Notre Dame, Oregon, ASU, Ohio State and Indiana all started transfer quarterbacks.

Notre Dame hasn't started a home-grown QB in a long time, neither has Oregon. It's easier to go buy one than developing one. Why any HS recruit QB signs with those programs is beyond me. You won't play.

Good players don't want to be backups, they transfer. So the backup sucks.

Lots of receivers play in every game, but usually only one QB. There are 3x more opportunities for blue-chip receivers to get PT than there are for blue-chip quarterbacks.

I never accepted Utah and Colorado and they were in the Pac-12 for more than 10 years.

My alma mater is third in your chain! We have a more legitimate claim!

How the FUCK did Northern Illinois win at Notre Dame? That upset looks more and more unlikely by the game.

Indiana is going down that road again. Cal QB Fernando Mendoza is the Indiana QB-to-be in 2025.
