The Pats believed in Mayo so much they put it in his last assistant coach contract that he would replace Belichick. I don't know what happened. Robert Kraft has declined to the point where his kid is now making decisions? Wanted Vrabel, but were handcuffed by the contract last year?

I'd like to think some of these teams are "observing the Rooney Rule" in the same way they "observe the Free Agency" period. No way you don't have someone lined up by now, unless you are the Jets.

If the Vikings win tonight, all three first-round playoff games in the NFC (Packers-Eagles, Commanders-Bucs and Lions-Rams) will be rematches from Week 1.

This has to be a record when 10 teams. TEN!!!!! finish with a winning (losing?) percentage of under .300. All worthy of the top pick in the draft. Some horrendous teams in the league right now. Absolutely pitiful. And it isn't like the NBA when teams desperately tank for the last two or three months of the season.

Im really thinking about picking up a Ravens-Steelers ticket. Fairly cheap upper deck tickets out there.
