Dallas had a bad five-game stretch against a difficult schedule with key injuries to Parsons and Prescott, among others, but was not a bad team on the whole. Jerry hamstrung McCarthy with inaction in the free-agent market. Dowdle is not a top-notch running back but looked like one toward the end of the season. That's good coaching. That team didn't quit on McCarthy when they had every reason to. Good coaching. Agreed, McCarthy is not the problem.

Napoleon said that when he chose his generals, "I pick the lucky ones." That's really people's beef with McCarthy. He radiates bad luck vibes.

Amy Adams Strunk doesn’t get enough credit for being a shitty owner. Fired Mike Vrabel because he wasn’t getting along with the first-year GM. Fast forward 12 months and now firing said GM but keeping the 3-14 rookie head coach she fired Vrabel to go get.

    Titans fire G.M. Ran Carthon

My buddy used to be in the C Suite in HOU/NASH with Bud Adams and he doesn’t have nice things to say about her.

IDK, Glenn's defense just banished a 14-2 QB to the indoor league so he would probably be the front-runner.

Not the indoor league. The World League of American Football!

I was "rating" the open jobs based on attractiveness and it wasn't pretty.
    1. Bears: They have a QB, but the McCaskeys...
    2. Jags: They have a QB, but the GM has a reputation of getting those around him fired.
    3. Saints: The don't have a QB, but the GM has a decent rep.
    4. Patriots: They maybe have a QB, front office seems a bit disfunctional
    5. Raiders: No QB. No chance to draft a QB. Owner never knows what he wants.
    6. Jets: No QB, no GM, crazy owner.

I didn't like the Callahan hire in Tennessee. Hire an OC off a team where the HC calls the plays? I think this franchise is gaining a rep for one you don't want to work for.
